About the program

Accounting, taxand auditing

The program starts from the ground up — bookkeeping, financial statements and financial mathematics — and then opens the three doors of the trade: tax, costing and corporate finance, and auditing. None is studied on its own, because in a practice they don't arrive separately either.

The final terms point at real practice: financial auditing, budget control, tax contributions, the international financial system and a professional placement that closes the program.

Graduate profile

The accountantyou will become

By the end of nine terms you will know how to prepare an entity's financial information, review it with judgement of your own and explain it to whoever has to decide with it. These are the four capabilities you leave ICES with.

  • Auditing and control

You plan and carry out a financial audit, test whether the information is reasonable, and find where internal control is failing.

  • Financial information

You record transactions, draw up the financial statements and analyse them to say what is happening in the entity and why.

  • Tax and contributions

You apply the tax regime that corresponds to individuals and companies, calculate their contributions and advise on compliance.

  • Costing, investment and management

You determine costs, control budgets, appraise investments and support management with consultancy and negotiation.
