Instituto Científico de Educación Superior (ICES), with its address at Paseo de las Palmas No. 17 y 19, Fracc. Veracruz, C.P. 91020, Xalapa, Ver., is responsible for the use, processing and protection of the personal data you provide to us through this website, our admissions forms and any other institutional means of contact.

This policy is made available to you before you hand over any data, so that you know clearly what information we collect, what we use it for and how you can control it at all times.

Personal data we collect

We collect only the data needed to respond to your request for information, manage your admission process and, where applicable, build your academic record. We obtain it directly when you fill in a form, write to us by email or messaging, or visit our facilities.

We do not request sensitive personal data except where strictly essential for school health purposes or for granting scholarships and financial support, in which case we will ask for your express written consent.

Purposes of processing

Your personal data is used for the following primary purposes, which give rise to and are necessary for the relationship between you and the institution:

  • Responding to requests for information about our academic programs.
  • Managing enrolment, re-enrolment and graduation processes.
  • Building and maintaining your academic and administrative record.
  • Issuing certificates and official documentation before the education authorities.
  • Secondarily, and only if you do not object, sending you information about events, scholarship calls and new programs.

Transfers of data to third parties

Your personal data may be transferred to federal and state education authorities where the applicable regulations require it for the official recognition of studies, as well as to institutions with which we hold professional placement or social service agreements.

Outside those cases, we do not sell, assign or share your data with third parties for commercial purposes. Where a transfer requires your consent, we will request it from you beforehand and expressly.

Use of cookies and tracking technologies

This site uses first-party and third-party cookies to remember your browsing preferences and to measure, in aggregate, how our pages are used. These tools do not by themselves collect data that identifies you directly.

ARCO rights and how to exercise them

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation and objection at any time by sending a request to admisiones@icesuniversidad.com or submitting it in writing at our institutional address. Your request must include:

  • Your full name and a means of communicating our response to you.
  • A copy of a valid official form of identification proving your identity.
  • A clear description of the data over which you wish to exercise the right.
  • Any document that helps locate your personal data.

Withdrawal of consent

You may withdraw at any time the consent you gave us to process your personal data, by the same means provided for exercising ARCO rights.

Withdrawal will not be possible where retaining the information is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, in particular the safekeeping of academic records before the education authorities.

Security and retention measures

We maintain administrative, technical and physical security measures designed to protect your data against damage, loss, alteration, destruction or unauthorized use, including access controls, locked storage of physical records and encryption in transit for digital forms.

We retain your data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described and for the document retention periods required by the applicable education regulations.

Changes to this privacy policy

This policy may be amended to address legal reforms, internal institutional needs or changes in our privacy practices. Any update will be published on this same page.
