Datos generales del programa

  • 9 four-month terms

Three years of coursework, plus the social service placement.

  • Blended format

Online coursework during the week and on-campus classes on Saturday or Sunday.

  • Virtual campus

Learning platform with a virtual library and activities guided by your lecturer.

  • Placement agreements

Agreements with SEFIPLAN, Liceo de Artes y Oficios and ARSPS for practice and social service.

About the program

Software, networksand information security

Across nine four-month terms you move from algorithm design to production systems: programming, databases, operating systems, wired and wireless networks, routing protocols, server management and information security.

The final terms shift the focus from code to the organization: ERP systems, productive project management, strategic competitiveness and a professional placement, so you graduate knowing which business problem every line you write answers.

Graduate profile

The engineeryou will become

By the end of nine terms you won't just know how to code — you'll know how to keep the whole system standing, from the database to the network that connects it. These are the four capabilities you leave ICES with.

  • Software development

You design algorithms and object-oriented programs, build applications and put them through a testing process before they go live.

  • Networks and operating systems

You install and administer wired and wireless networks, configure routing protocols, manage servers and maintain the operating systems underneath.

  • Information security

You identify risks, apply security controls over information and infrastructure, and respond when something goes wrong.

  • Data and information systems

You model and administer databases, design information systems and turn that data into decisions for the organization.
